New York City-headquartered self-serve frozen yogurt and soft serve shop, 16 Handles, has announced a trio of innovative and better-for-you flavors just in time for National Frozen Yogurt Day in the USA on February 6. The new offerings include:

Keto Chocolate Brownie Soft Serve. Partnering with the premium keto ice cream manufacturer Two Spoons, the soft serve (pictured above) contains real keto brownie bits folded into a creamy zero-sugar-added chocolate base. Boasting just three grams of net carbohydrates per full serving, the flavor was unveiled on January 16.

Zero Sugar Added and Fat-Free Cinnamon Rice Pudding. Billed as the “first-of-its-kind fat-free, low-sugar option that satisfies one’s sweet cravings without compromising health goals,” the flavor will launch on February 16.

High Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana. Packed with real whey protein, this treat is slated to debut on March 16 and is being promoted as a “powerhouse with more than two times as much protein as any other 16 Handles menu pleasers.

Additionally, on February 6 the franchise will invite customers to celebrate National Frozen Yogurt Day with a special offer by downloading the 16 Handles app and use code FROYODAY24 to get $5 of free fro-yo.

“We’re thrilled to introduce better-for-you flavors that not only taste good, but feel good. After having huge growth in 2023, we are excited to celebrate our biggest National Frozen Yogurt Day yet,” said CEO Neil Hershman. “We’re always testing new products and have some crazy flavors planned for the rest of 2024.”

In business since 2008, when its first store opened in Manhattan’s East Village, 16 Candles features 16 different soft serve flavors, more than 50 toppings and sauces, as well as a variety of frozen novelties including cakes, take-home pints, and DŌ gourmet edible cookie dough. The franchise operates more than 30 shops in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Texas. Additional units are scheduled to open soon North Carolina, South Carolina and Massachusetts.
