The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has announced it will host the 2020 Global Cold Chain Expo (GCCE) at the Hilton Anatole, in Dallas, Texas, and has set the dates for September 28-30. The move from Chicago was made with careful consideration, support and guidance from the GCCE Task Force, which consists of refrigerated warehouse operators and a variety of exhibitors, as well as approval from boards of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO).
“Moving from a convention center to a hotel environment that encompasses an expo hall, meeting space, and sleeping rooms all under one roof facilitates greater networking and community,” said Andy Janson, president of MTC Logistics and chairman of the IARW. “Finding a lower price point for hotel rooms and overall cost of participation for attendees and exhibitors was a key driver in the move to Dallas.”
GCCA will continue partnering with the United Fresh Produce Association to maximize the impact of the show, however, the expo will now will be standalone event and not in conjunction with the FreshTech and FreshMarket shows.
“We listened to our members and shifted GCCE from late June – the busy season for industry professionals – to late September,” said Corey Rosenbusch, president and ceo of the Alexandria, Virginia-headquartered GCCA.
