McCain Foods has added three products to its Ultra Thin Crust Pizza line distributed in Australia and New Zealand. Now available at Coles and Woolworths stores, the new “flavors of the world” recipes are Moroccan Lamb, Pesto Chicken and Mediterranean Vegetable. Each offering contains four 77.5-gram servings per package.
The Moroccan Lamb topping features spiced lamb, mozzarella cheese, spinach and onion, with a cumin-infused yogurt sauce. The Mediterranean Vegetable option is loaded with mild goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, spinach, roasted mushrooms and red capsicum. Third in the lineup, Pesto Chicken, is topped with chicken tossed in pesto, mozzarella cheese and red capsicum, further accented with basil.
Four other choices in the Ultra Thin Crust Pizza line, available to consumers for some time now, are Tandoori Chicken, Spinach and Mozzarella, Angus Beef, and Pepperoni.
The entire assortment is promoted with multimedia campaigns, including television commercials that proclaim: “Some pizza has never tasted so good…Aah, McCain, you’ve done it again.”
Doing business in Australia since 1968 and New Zealand since 1985, the Ballarat-headquartered company operates five production sites Down Under. In addition to pizza, it product line ranges from frozen french fries and other potato items to fruits, snacks and ready meals.
