The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) has hired Natalie Markle to fill the newly created position of member communications coordinator. She is responsible for marketing member resources and events, developing and maintaining an online and social media presence for members, and engaging members in the association’s public relations and promotion efforts.
In 2013, the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA-headquartered NFRA partnered with the Edelman PR agency to implement a long-term public relations campaign to communicate the benefits of frozen and refrigerated foods directly to consumers, necessitating an increase in staff.
“We’re eager to tap into Natalie’s marketing experience to help us engage our members in new ways,” said Julie Henderson, NFRA vice president of communications. “She brings new talents and a fresh perspective to the table as we expand our communication efforts on behalf of the industry.”
Markle graduated in May of 2013 from Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania, with a BS in Marketing and concentration in Advertising. Prior to joining the NFRA she worked for two engineering firms as a marketing assistant responsible for website updates, proposal submissions, database organization and project leads.
The NFRA is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the US frozen and refrigerated foods industry. It is the sponsor of March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotion and October Cool Food for Kids educational outreach program.
