Tim Robinson has been named managing director of Bagshot, Surrey, England-based Lantmännen Unibake UK. The company is a major producer and distributor of frozen baked goods ranging from breads and baguettes to buns, savories, croissants and pastries.
Formerly serving as the company’s finance director in Britain, Robinson’s food industry experience includes jobs at Mars and Euro Food Brands.
In announcing the appointment, Werner Devinck, chief executive officer of Lantmännen Unibake, stated: “With an impressive two-year record of driving innovation and growth within the Lantmännen Unibake UK business, Tim is perfectly positioned to take on the pivotal role as managing director. He brings with him a strong understanding of the industry, encompassing business strategy development, high-level business negotiations and the steering of change agendas.”

Headquartered in Horsens and Copenhagen, Denmark, the Lantmännen Unibake group is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of high quality bakery products to retailers, wholesalers and the foodservice industry. Employing more than 3,700 workers, it produced approximately 400,000 tons of baked goods and rang up sales of EUR 804 million in 2013.
Collectively owned by more than 33,500 Swedish farmers, the company operates 23 bakeries in 18 countries. Its portfolio of brands consists of Schulstad Bakery Solutions, Schulstad Bakery Solutions Royal Danish Pastry, Schulstad, Hatting and Pastridor.
