Bensenville, Illinois, USA-based Fortune Fish & Gourmet has named Chris Barry as its vice president of strategic sourcing and sales. In addition to new product development, he will work with vendors and wholesale customers.
A 30-plus year veteran of the seafood industry, Barry began his career in Denver, Colorado, with Seattle Fish in 1983. After moving to Chicago in 1986, he worked for Chicago Fish House. In 1995 Barry moved to San Francisco, where he spent the last 19 years with H&N Foods and Ports Seafood.
Headed up by President and CEO Sean J. O’Scannlain, Fortune Fish & Gourmet is a seafood processor and distributor specializing in high-end foodservice accounts as well as independent gourmet retail stores.
Carrying more than 8,000 frozen, fresh and live seafood and gourmet products, it services customers in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, and Michigan with a fleet of over 43 refrigerated vehicles. Deliveries to clients beyond those states are handled through the company’s Flying Fish program.
