Marie Callender’s, a brand of Omaha, Nebraska-headquartered ConAgra Foods is launching a new Pumpkin Pecan Streusel Pie just in time for the upcoming winter holiday season. Serving up a combination of two seasonal favorites in the USA, the product delivers the same taste and creamy texture of traditional pumpkin pie, but adds a flavor contrast by topping it with a crunchy, nutty streusel for a festive finish to any occasion.
Marie Callender’s newest dessert features flaky, made-from-scratch pastry crust, brimming with real pumpkin blended with spices and finished with a crunchy brown sugar streusel with toasted pecans.
“For decades, Marie Callender’s has been creating homemade desserts with high-quality ingredients and signature special touches, and often look to our consumers for ideas on new desserts and flavors,” said Christiane Brocky, vice president and general manager at ConAgra Foods. “In fact, the inspiration for the new Pumpkin Pecan Streusel Pie came from consumers indicating it would make a perfect combination, so we’re excited to now offer two of their favorite sweet, seasonal pies in one delicious dessert.”
Marie Callender’s Pumpkin Pecan Streusel Pie is available in the freezer aisles of grocery stores nationwide including Wal-Mart, Kroger and Meijer for the everyday suggested retail price of $8.49, but retailers may offer lower prices for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays.
