J&J Snack Foods has extended its “grab and go” snack line to include 10 creme filled Oreo Churros and Oreo Churros Creme Filled Bites, both made from real Oreo cookie pieces. Each is now being sold throughout the United States foodservice sector, while the Bites are also available for purchase in the frozen dessert section of retail stores nationwide.
“We were overwhelmed by the national buzz surrounding the original Oreo Churros, so immediately began working on a product line extension,” said Gerry Shreiber, chief executive officer and president of Pennsauken, New Jersey-based J&J Snack Foods. “With five different varieties of filled and non-filled Oreo Churros available, we feel confident the portfolio now fits into any snacking occasion – whether around the table, in the car, at a movie theatre, on the sidelines of a sporting event, or wherever else people enjoy time with family and friends.”
In addition to the two new filled varieties, J&J Snack Foods has also launched a flavor-enhancing crumb/sugar topping in which Oreo Churros may be rolled after heating.
The original Oreo Churros, introduced in November of 2014 and made for dipping into individual Oreo creme dip cups, continue to be available in three varieties: Traditional Churros, Double-Twisted and Bites.
