Hot Diggity Dog! The “Home of the Whopper” is now the “Dog House” too, as the world’s second largest fast food hamburger chain is barking up a new tree in its hunt to beef up business.

BK Chili dogGrilled Dogs will be available as a permanent menu offering in Burger King outlets every day of the week throughout the year, as the chain is keen on dispelling the notion that hot dogs should be relegated to summer barbecues and baseball games.

“The introduction of Grilled Dogs just made sense to our guests and for our brand,” said Alex Macedo, the president of Burger King in North America. “We’re applying over 60 years of flame-grilling expertise with the Whopper sandwich to make Grilled Dogs the next great American icon.”
