Alaskan Jack’s Seafood Corporation has a new selection of three frozen dumpling products in the pipeline that will be introduced this autumn under its Frontier Harvest Alaskan Jack’s brand. Featured fillings are:
- Salmon Florentine (salmon, spinach and sour cream)
- Lemon & Dill Salmon (salmon, lemon juice, dill and sour cream)
- Salmon & Chive (salmon, fresh chive and sour cream)
“We are looking forward to the launch,” said Steven Chen, the El Monte, California-based company’s ceo and president. “These offerings continue our strategy to introduce creative products that taste great, are on-trend and successfully meet both consumer and retailer needs. This also continues our charge to grow and build ongoing excitement in the value-added frozen seafood category.”
Made of wild-caught Alaska pink salmon and all-natural, GMO-free ingredients, the line will be distributed in 10-ounce retail trays containing 16 pieces that will sell for approximately $5.99. Requiring just four minutes of cooking time, the dumplings can be eaten plain or with a sauce, such as Alfredo, marinara, soy or butter. They can also be turned into pot stickers after boiling by further sautéing and browning both sides in a skillet with cooking oil.
“New product launches have been critical in our success to promote repeat purchases and drive additional sales into the category,” said Chen. “These items continue to focus on the key attributes of all Frontier Harvest Alaskan Jack’s products: wild-caught seafood indigenous to the waters of the North Pacific; good-for-you, healthy ingredients; unique flavor profiles; consumer value; ease of preparation; and best-in-class graphics and packaging.”
About Alaskan Jack’s
Founded in 2014 by Steven Chen, a US citizen and owner of Yihe Corporation, privately held Alaskan Jack’s Seafood Corporation was the manifestation of a dream to create a healthy, fusion-flavored and diverse value-added brand consisting of only wild-caught Alaskan species seafood. Its management team has a combined 100-plus years of industry knowhow and expertise in fishing, processing and quality assurance. Experienced in many aspects of the seafood industry, the founder began his career on a commercial fishing boat, followed by on-the-job training working in a processing plant. He soon advanced to serve as the president of US operations for a Chinese company that developed frozen seafood products. The Alaskan Jack’s band was launched in January of 2015, and won the Seafood Excellence Award for Best New Retail Launch at Seafood Export North America in Boston two months later.
