Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA-headquartered Interstate Warehousing’s Franklin facility has been re-certified at SQF (Safe Quality Foods) Level 2 without any non-conformances being found. This is the third certification audit for the cold storage operation, and the first un-announced audit.
“Food safety has always been a top priority at Interstate Warehousing, and with multiple provisions of the Food Safety Modernization Act going into effect in 2016, it is more important than ever before,” said John Tippmann, Jr., president of Tippmann Group/Interstate Warehousing. “The SQF certification helps underscore our continuing support of the food safety processes.”
“Our employees have made continuous efforts over the years to provide unparalleled customer service to those who entrust us with their products in our warehouse,” said Matt Helbling, senior vice president of Interstate Warehousing. “The staff’s attention to detail and understanding of proper food safety procedures are critical to the overall satisfaction of our customers.”
Interstate Warehousing, a Tippmann Group company, owns and operates more than 100 million cubic feet of refrigerated and frozen warehouse space at seven locations throughout the United States. The Franklin facility is the largest coldstore in the network, and has been SQF Level 2-certified since 2014.
