Crazy Cuizine, a brand dedicated to bringing traditional Asian-inspired-cuisine from the freezer to dinner tables in minutes, has introduced Kung Pao Chicken to its line of family-style entrees available in the USA market. Made with seasoned and lightly battered chicken breast and rib meat, the dish is accented with stir-fry style Kung Pao sauce featuring a bold blend of soy, garlic and ginger flavors, and a mild kick of spicy heat that gives it a true sense of Szechuan-inspired authenticity.
Promoted as “better value than take-out,” the easy-to-prepare product comes complete with individual packs of steamed vegetables, crunchy cashews and signature sauce. Its savory flavor is formulated to pair well with side dishes such as rice, noodles or additional vegetables to create a well-balanced meal.
“Adapted by American Chinese food vendors throughout the 20th century, the Kung Pao Chicken recipe which Western palates have come to know and crave is a delicious, succulent and slightly spicy version of an ancient entrée, which Crazy Cuizine has emulated for this latest launch,” said David Weinberg, sales and marketing director at Santa Fe Springs, California-based Day-Lee Foods, Inc., which packs the product. “Whether families are looking to serve up a quick and simple meal right from the box, or want to explore their kitchen creativity utilizing Kung Pao in their own recipes, this new entrée is sure to entice!”
As with the entire line of Crazy Cuizine entrées and appetizers, the company’s latest offering is high in protein and free of trans fats, with no MSG added. Fully cooked and ready to serve in 18 minutes or less, Crazy Cuizine Kung Pao Chicken can be heated straight from the freezer without defrosting and plated as a meal, appetizer or snack.
Prepared in the oven or on a stovetop, the product contains approximately nine servings per 44-ounce (1,247-gram) box, with 16 grams of protein and only 210 calories per serving.
The Crazy Cuizine line of convenient family meals includes a wide variety of signature Asian flavors. Among them are Mandarin Orange Chicken, which won the ChefsBest 2016 Excellence in Taste Award; hot-sauce-infused dishes including Honey Sriracha Chicken Bites and Sriracha Chicken Potstickers; and classics such as Teriyaki Chicken, Korean BBQ Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Sweet-Chili Chicken and Chicken and Pork Potstickers.
Crazy Cuizine Kung Pao Chicken is available in the frozen food departments of select Costco stores in the United States, as well as at Albertson’s, Safeway, Vons, Ralphs, Food for Less, Raley’s, SaveMart, Lucky Supermarkets, Jewel and other retail grocery outlets.
