Brooklyn, New York-headquartered Feel Good Foods expand beyond Asian-inspired frozen cuisine theme dishes with the introduction of empanadas and taquitos. Available in chicken, beef and vegetable varieties, the new Latin-inspired appetizers will be distributed in 226g packs to retail outlets throughout the USA by late 2016.
With the launch of these chef-inspired appetizers, Feel Good Foods continues to bring clean label, gluten-free, preservative-free and non-GMO food to consumers looking for what CEO Vanessa Phillips calls “convenient food with no junk and no guilt.”
The man behind the bold, ethnic flavors of Feel Good Foods is its co-founder and chef, Tryg Siverson. His newly developed products will join the brand’s existing offerings that range from egg rolls and dumplings in pork, vegetable and chicken varieties, to Asian-inspired entrees that include General Tso’s Chicken, Vegetable Fried Brown Rice, Mongolian Beef with Asparagus, and Broad Noodles with Chicken & Chinese Broccoli.
Recently MSNBC’s Your Business voted the Feel Good Foods’ product line a 10 out of 10, making it the first company to ever get a perfect score from its panel of experts.
Feel Good Foods was born when Phillips was diagnosed with Celiac disease and struggling with flavor deprivation after giving up gluten. Her now husband, Chef Siverson, whose background included working at hotspot restaurants like Nobu and Spice Market, created gluten-free recipes for all of Vanessa’s favorite foods. Dumplings came first, and the rest quickly fell into place.
Feel Good Foods launched as a business in 2011. Today, its gluten-free appetizers, side dishes and meals are sold in 4,000 stores nationwide including Whole Food Market, Sam’s Club, Sprouts, Wegmans and ShopRite.
