Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt has introduced “a first of its kind sandwich format” in mint and vanilla flavors, while adding three additional flavors to its stick bar lineup: S’mores, Toffee Caramel Chocolate Chip and Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip.
Like other Yasso products, they are positioned as portable desserts that can be enjoyed either on the go or while at home, school, office or other work place.
“We’re having a lot of fun with our innovation and we are truly dedicated to providing consumers with a dessert they can enjoy every day,” said Drew Harrington, co-founder of Quincy, Massachusetts, USA-based Yasso. “As an entrepreneurial brand, we pride ourselves in our David vs. Goliath story and how we’ve taken a different, more creative approach to our innovation by listening to our fans and their suggestions over the years.”
The new sandwich format offering features a thick layer of creamy Greek yogurt positioned between two dark chocolate wafer cookies. Four sandwiches come per 12-ounce box, with each unit containing 120 calories and five grams of protein.
Meanwhile, newly launched S’mores are promoted as “your favorite summer craving without the campfire. They are made with a graham cracker base, mini marshmallows and chocolate inclusions.
The Toffee Caramel Chocolate Chip treat serves up a rich, decadent taste profile loaded with chunks of toffee and chocolate chips. The calorie and protein counts are 100 and five, respectively.
Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip is billed as “a truly iconic ice cream flavor that gets the Yasso treatment.” Packed with dark chocolate and white chocolate chips within a creamy raspberry Greek yogurt base, it’s formulated to appeal to adults and children alike.
Yasso will have a fleet of six vehicles with brand ambassadors touring the United States this spring and summer. They aim to visit over 30 states and give away more than 1 million free samples at charitable fundraisers, road races, music festivals, community events, corporate visits and other family-friendly outings.
