Expanding its presence in the Mexican marketplace, Flair Flexible Packaging has inaugurated a facility in El Zapote, Jalisco. The operation offers full converting and quality assurance, material management and logistics services, customer support and sales functions to manufacturers throughout the nation and further afield.

“Our new site provides local service and operational support, increasing the availability of a variety of flexible packaging materials to customers throughout Mexico,” said Alejandro Nigro, Flair’s director of sales in Latin America. “The facility also provides Mexican processors local access to a global network of flexible packaging resources.”

Situated a short distance from Guadalajara, Flair Mexico will be a central resource for the Appleton, Wisconsin, USA-headquartered company’s extensive stock packaging program, which includes a wide variety of commonly used bags. The portfolio includes pouches and roll stock films that can be slit to meet customers’ processing needs, in addition to Flair’s PLATiNUM™ forming and non-forming films, LiDynamics® lidding films and FlairPak® vacuum pouches.

For manufacturers seeking specialized structures, design features or high quality printing, Flair Mexico provides access to a complete line of custom products, an advanced 10-color rotogravure printing process, and its brand color management program.

The 33,000-square-foot facility has offices, warehousing space and two production areas to accommodate pouch making and film slitting operations. With room for expansion, the operation is designed to complement Flair’s worldwide manufacturing, development and design capabilities offered at facilities in the United States, Canada, South Korea and China.
