McCormick US Branded Flavor Solutions was honored as Supplier of the Year by Sysco Corporation on November 8. A number of frozen food vendors were also feted during the annual Supplier Excellence Awards event, a program that recognizes the commitment, support and partnership of companies rendering top-flight business performances to the Houston, Texas-headquartered global foodservice distribution company.
Among the Gold Supplier Award winners once again was Devi Seafoods of India, which was golden for the third time in the seafood sector, having previously been honored in 2018 and 2016.
Striking Silver in the Seafood category was King & Prince Seafood Corp., while Bronze awards went to Arista Industries, Eastern Fisheries, F.W. Bryce, Inc., Tampa Maid Foods and PanaPesca USA.
The Gold Award winner in the Frozen/Canned Fruits & Vegetables category was Pacific Coast Producers. Taking Silver laurels was National Frozen Foods Corporation. Bronze recipients included Bonduelle, John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Lakeside Foods and Agro Sevilla USA.
Achieving Gold status in the Convenience & Potatoes category was JR Simplot Company, while McCain Foods USA took the Silver prize. Bronze recognition went to Rich Products Corp., Campbell’s Foodservice, JTM Food Group, Ajinomoto Foods North America and MilMar Food Group.
The 2019 award winners were selected based on sales growth, leadership, innovation, operational excellence and other key business performance criteria.
