Central Foods has taken over distribution of the Frank Dale buffet food brand in the United Kingdom foodservice sector. It will represent the full assortment of sweet and savory products made by the party food specialist, which will complement the buffet options already offered by Central Foods.
Frank Dale is especially known for its premium range of Mini Quiches and classic British miniatures such as Mini Yorkshire Puddings with beef and horseradish, Mini Pies and Mini Fish & Chip Bites. Its sweet party food offerings include Mini Victoria and Mini Black Forest Sponge Cakes, and Strawberry and Cream Scones.
Founded in 1994 as Frank Dale Foods, the company uses local, British ingredients wherever feasible, including UK-farm sourced Red Tractor standard meat, British flour and eggs. It supplies a mix of branded and own-label products to the wholesale sector, as well as co-packed items to the foodservice sector.
“We are delighted to have taken over distribution of the superb range of Frank Dale products, which will extend the selection of buffet and party food that we already supply to our foodservice customers across the UK and further afield,” said Central Foods Managing Director Gordon Lauder. “Frank Dale has a strong reputation for producing premium quality classic British miniatures, and these will complement perfectly the authentic global menu that we offers when it comes to party food.”
Edward Miles, managing director of Burnwell, Norwich, Norfolk-based Finedale Foods, owner of the Frank Dale label, commented: “This is a key step in our further development. By tapping into Central Foods’ proven distribution model and expertise, the service given to our existing customers will improve and open the door for new customers to stock the range, while allowing us to focus more on developing new products and marketing to drive future growth.”
Northamptonshire, England-headquartered Central Foods supplies more than 400 lines to foodservice operators, ranging from vegetarian and free-from items to meat products, bakery items and canapés to buffet products, desserts and puddings.
