The Miami, Florida-headquartered Burger King quick service restaurant (QSR) chain launched the Impossible Croissan’wich sandwich across the USA on June 15, following a successful test during January at 139 locations in select markets. Available for a limited time for $3.99, the new menu item marks the first time a national operator has offered an Impossible Foods-supplied plant-based patty on a breakfast sandwich.

Between now and June 30, Burger King will be giving away up to 100,000 Impossible Croissan’wiches through the BK App to “night owl” customers including students, essential late-hour workers and gamers. All they have to redeem a coupon for the product is to make a minimum $1 purchase.

In 2019, Burger King restaurants debuted the Impossible Whopper sandwich nationwide, becoming the first coast-to-coast QSR operator to serve the award-winning, plant-based patty produced by faux meat products startup Impossible Foods.
