Industrial refrigerated warehouse builder and developer Tippmann Innovation (Ti) is working with Sierra Supply Chain Services and Penta Properties to erect a state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is being designed with a focus on energy efficiency, advanced warehouse management, and value-added services to frozen and refrigerated food providers.
The new $65-million complex site approximately 36 miles southwest of Toronto is strategically situated within Hamilton’s Red Hill Business Park. Upon completion, the 65-foot-tall facility will feature nearly 250,000-square-feet of storage space and 30,000-square-feet of food processing space.
The Sierra Supply Chain operation focuses on warehousing, logistics, freezing services and export of temperature-controlled food products. Penta Properties is a land owner, developer, and owner of multiple buildings in the retail and employment sector throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton‐Niagara Regions. Tenants include Maple Leaf Foods, Loblaw and G.T. French.
“We are very excited to have this opportunity to continue our valued partnership with Sierra Supply Chain in support of this important project,” said Ti President Sam Tippmann. “This project continues the growth and expansion of our development footprint and is yet another exceptional example of market demand advancing cold chain infrastructure investment across North America.”
