Life Cuisine, one of the latest brands from Nestlé, is introducing new recipes across a variety of formats with innovative ingredients including cauliflower bites, spiraled zucchini, gluten-free pasta, single-serve cauliflower crust pizza, pasta made with chickpeas, piadas and more.
Now available at supermarkets and grocery stores across the USA for $4.29 to $4.69, the new offerings are presented as a nutritious option for anyone looking for a simplified way to explore flavors and recipes that align with their lifestyle.
As part of this product launch, the Solon, Ohio-based Life Cuisine team has collaborated with Banza Pasta to create two new recipes to give consumers more gluten-free options in the freezer aisle. The Life Cuisine dishes made with Banza pasta are fully prepared entrées that offer a twist on traditional pasta dishes.
Following are brief descriptions of the new products.
• Triple Cheese Macaroni & Cheese Bowl made with Banza chickpea pasta, featuring a creamy Vermont white cheddar cheese, Parmesan and Asiago Romano cheese sauce. 28 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber.
• Pasta Bolognese made with Banza chickpea pasta. This gluten-free dish is coated in a hearty Bolognese sauce and offers 32 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber.
• Cauliflower Crust Chicken Mozzarella Piada and Cauliflower Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Piada. With these cauliflower crust piadas, one can enjoy a convenient and popular sandwich without the gluten. Each has at least 18 grams of protein.
• Cauliflower Crust Three Meat Pizza. It’s topped with pepperoni, sausage, beef and mozzarella cheese, and delivers 18 grams of protein per serving.
• Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. With 18 grams of protein, this gluten-free product features grilled white meat chicken and a sweet teriyaki glaze with riced cauliflower, edamame, carrots and broccoli.
• Pesto Cauliflower Gnocchi Bowl. This meatless bowl is tossed with basil pesto and topped with Parmesan cheese to create a satisfying meal with 14 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber.
• Buffalo Style Cauliflower Bites. These Meatless buffalo-style cauliflower bites are a good source of Vitamin C.
• Meatlovers Zoodles Bowl. This low carb offering features spiralized zucchini imported from Italy, Italian sausage, pepperoni, tomato sauce and cheese. The net carb count is 12 grams , and the dish serves up 17 grams of protein.
• Beef with Broccoli Bowl: Made with riced cauliflower, this low carbohydrate Lifestyle bowl features strips of steak, broccoli and red peppers with an Asian-style sauce. It contains 15 grams of net carbs and 13 grams of protein.
