Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt on September 7 unveiled a 12th core bar flavor, Birthday Cake, in celebration the Boulder, Colorado, USA-based company’s 10-year anniversary. Filled with rainbow sprinkles and chunks of cake dough, the 90-calorie treat offers 5 grams of protein and no artificial ingredients.

“When Yasso launched on grocery store shelves in 2011, we saw a white space to deliver great tasting, desserts with superb ingredients and nutritional qualities within the frozen aisle and we are proud and grateful, to still be here progressing that mission forward. We wanted our newest flavor to commemorate Yasso’s 10th birthday and be symbolic of the milestone itself,” said Co-founder Drew Harrington.

In addition to proving its strength and staying power, Yasso recently become a Top 5 novelty dessert brand and landed the spot as the #2 fastest growing better-for-you snacking brand in North America, according to IRI data.

“While the mission behind Yasso has remained the same over the past decade, our products and branding have evolved to give consumers the best experience possible,” said Co-founder Amanda Klane. “We’ve continued to improve formulas, expanded categories and have created a way to give back to our community through our Game On! Foundation.”

In honor of the launch, Yasso is making a $10,000 donation to The Birthday Party Project, which will distribute birthday presents and party favors to over 300 homeless children.

Since the coronavirus pandemic (SARS-CoV-2) disruption, Birthday Party Project organizers have shifted from arranging in-person parties to “Birthday in a Bag” giveaways, which provides celebrants everything they need to feel special on their birthday, gift included. To date, over 65,000 kids in 20 cities across the country have benefited.
