Beyond Better Foods’ Enlightened ice cream brand is debuting a new line of indulgent treats at grocery stores across the USA. Continuing its mission to offer “craveable desserts with better nutrition,” the New York City-headquartered company’s Sundae Cones contain as few as six grams of sugar and 140 calories per unit.
The product features a crispy cone full of creamy ice cream topped with nuts and chocolate, and a chocolate filled tip that makes for “a perfect last bite.” Instead of using an excessive amount of sugar or artificial sweeteners, Enlightened sweetens its sundae cones with monk fruit.
Six flavors complete the rollout, led off by three Vanilla Fudge, Caramel Fudge and Peanut Butter Fudge light ice creams. The lineup is complemented with three Greek frozen yogurts: Vanilla Honey, Caramel Dark Chocolate Almond Butter and Strawberry Shortcake.
“In creating these Sundae Cones, we wanted to offer a range of flavor profiles, so there is something for everyone,” Michael Shoretz, the company’s ceo and founder. ”That’s why we created three classic flavor profiles with our best-selling light ice cream and three yogurt-inspired flavors made with frozen greek yogurt, two of which include a flavor core for extra indulgence.”
Enlightened Sundae Cones are packaged with three four-ounce cones in a box (MSRP $5.99). Among retail stores currently listing the range are Sprouts Farmers Market, Shoprite, Walmart, H.E.B. and Stop & Shop.
