In announcing its ChampionChips competition, Lamb Weston is inviting chefs in the UK foodservice and hospitality sectors to enter innovative recipes that utilize the value-added frozen spud company’s wide range of fries, chips and potato shapes.
“In constantly looking for new ways to innovate, and always inspired to see what chefs can do with our products, we have launched this ChampionChips challenge to find the most inventive and exciting recipes that can be created. Whether it’s topped and trending, deliciously dirty, a full-on flavor mashup, or even leftovers, the fries the limit,” said Peter Evans, Lamb Weston’s UK marketing manager. “The appetite for innovation among consumers is higher than ever, so this is the perfect opportunity for chefs to get creative and push the boundaries of their potato offering.”
Contestants are encouraged to submit recipes and cooking method information that will be judged by a panel of industry experts Winners will be selected from four sectors, with first place finishers in each category receiving £1,000 cash, plus exclusive incentives from Lamb Weston. Second place prizes of £500 and third place prizes of £250 cash will also be awarded.
