Barvecue has extended its retail distribution of wood-smoked, plant-based frozen Pulled BVQ and Carnitas to 191 Harris Teeter Supermarkets. This new listing significantly expands the Cornelius, North Carolina-based company’s product availability in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic USA market areas.
The Barvecue brand attracts a wide variety of shoppers including vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians looking to put plant-based options on the table as center of plate fare. In addition to being vegan, all products are gluten-free and Non-GMO Project Verified.
Featuring traditional BBQ seasoning, Pulled BVQ can be finished with one’s favorite sauce and served as a barbecue sandwich. Carnitas are ideal for tacos, nachos and burritos.
“Barbecue is all about sharing great tasting food with friends and family,” said CEO Lee Cooper. “Barvecue creates a plant-based option that gives everyone a seat at the table. Our team is excited to share Barvecue’s quick, easy and nutritious meal options with Harris Teeter shoppers.”
Established in 2017, and opening the world’s largest smokehouse specializing in plant-based products in 2021, the Barvecue brand continues to grow its presence on both retail and foodservice fronts. In addition to Harris Teeter, the product line can be found in the freezer sections of Safeway, Sprouts Farmers Markets, Lower Foods, Earth Fare, New Season Market, Central Market, Harmon Grocery and other stores.
