Salisbury, Maryland-based Handy Seafood’s newly launched Old Bay Crab Cake Minis in 20-count boxes are finding their way to frozen seafood department cabinets and cases at supermarkets and grocery stores across the United States. The hand-crafted treats are conveniently ready to serve after just 1½ minutes of heating.

Old Bay Seasoning is a flavor-packed blend of herbs and spices featuring celery salt, black pepper and paprika. First marketed by the Baltimore Spice Company founded by Gustav Brunn in 1939, rights to the seasoning brand were purchased by McCormick & Co. in 1990. McCormick continues to offer Old Bay in classic yellow cans in retail stores.

“We are thrilled to introduce these microwaveable crab cakes. They are not only delicious, but also answer the consumer’s yearning for culinary convenience without compromising on product quality,” said Tom Quinn, Handy’s vice president of retail sales. “Whether it’s a busy weeknight or an impromptu gathering, you can rely on Old Bay Crab Cake Minis to impress your taste buds without compromising on precious time.”

Handy Seafood is a family-owned company that has been in business for almost 130 years. In addition to crab cakes, it offers soft shell crabs, crab meat, oysters and other seafood specialty items.
