DiGiorno’s New Pizza Thin on the Classic Crust, Thick on Toppings

As popularity for thin crust pizza continues to grow in North America, Nestlé USA is catering to the appetite with its latest culinary innovation: the DiGiorno Classic Crust Pizza. Appearing in the freezer aisles of supermarkets and other grocery stores this September, the product expansion marks the tenth crafted crust option currently offered by the brand.

The range is made with 100% real cheese and loaded with half a pound of sauce and other toppings piled on a buttery, crispy thin crust. Four Classic Crust varieties are offered:

• Pepperoni Pizza is made with signature sauce and stacked high with sliced and diced pepperoni
• Cheese Pizza is topped with melty mozzarella cheese
• Meat Lovers Pizza is piled high with pepperoni, sausage and bacon
• Supreme Pizza is loaded with pepperoni, sausage, peppers and onions

“Thin crust is the fastest growing crust in the frozen pizza category, but there’s a common misconception that less crust means less toppings,” said Kimberly Holowiak, DiGiorno’s senior brand manager. “Our chefs worked hard to keep the flavor and crunch loaded in every bite of the new Classic Crust pizza while ensuring it wouldn’t break the bank.”

All four varieties are available now at select retail stores across the United states for at a suggested price of $5.49.
