Mark Taylor has been named managing director of Aylesford, Kent, England-based Kff, a subsidiary of Houston, Texas, USA-headquartered Sysco. He replaces Phillip White, who left the foodservice wholesaler to join Gordon & MacPhail, a Scottish whisky company, as its chief executive.
Taylor comes to the job with more than a decade of experience in Sysco’s UK operations, including seven years at Brakes. Kff specializes in supplying restaurants, pubs, schools and customers in other foodservice segments with an extensive variety of frozen and ambient products, as well fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.
“I am very excited by the opportunity at Kff. The business has an enviable reputation for customer service and product quality,” said Taylor. “With a talented team already in place, we have great plans to grow our customer base and continue to develop sales of our fantastic range of locally sourced products.”
Established in 1962, Kff started out as a supplier of frozen food to local businesses within the Kent area. Over the years its scope has expanded to covers a wide part of the south of England.
