Women’s tennis ace and two-time Grand Slam Champion Aryna Sabalenka can now add culinary maestro to her repertoire of talents, after delving in to the world of health-conscious nutrition in collaboration with the Oakberry açaí brand. The No.2 ranked player in the world and 2024 Australian Open title holder introduced her own wholesome creation, the “Power Serve Bowl by Sabalenda,” at Oakberry’s flagship store in New York City last week, ahead of her campaign to claim a highly contested US Open title during competition at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
To celebrate the launch, Anya welcomed a throng of delighted tennis fans and Oakberry invitees to the Manhattan store, where she personally served up the nutritious blend to commemorate the rollout of her debut signature açaí bowl. In addition to açaí pulp, other healthy-eating ingredients in the recipe include blueberries, whey protein, peanut butter, chia pudding and cacao nibs.
“Oakberry has been my go-to source of nutrition when training for competition or when relaxing with friends,” said Sabalenka. “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to create my first signature açaí bowl with my favorite chosen ingredients that I rely on to fuel my body all year round.”
“Aryna is the perfect champion for Oakberry, as someone who aligns herself with our core values in health and nutrition,” said Bruno Cardinali, global head of marketing. “We’re delighted to introduce the Power to Serve Bowl by Sabalenka to tennis fans and our followers in New York, and we invite everyone to follow Aryna’s progress at the US Open while fueling themselves during an exciting two weeks of tennis.”
Oakberry açaí is sustainably sourced from Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest and is an abundant source of energy, rich in antioxidants, all-natural and organic, with no high fructose corn syrup or artificial colors added. Açaí pulp is a natural antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. It contains minerals like Potassium and Calcium, Vitamin E, healthy fats like Omega 6 and 9, and proteins.
Oakberry was founded in 2016 by Georgios Frangulis and Renato Haidar. In addition to serving up bowls and smoothies at over 700 locations in 40 countries, the brand’s Organic Açaí Berry Fruit Sorbet is distributed frozen by Amazon in 7 kg tubs (pictured below).
