Investment in new units and trailers helps support growing business operations
October will see Yearsley Logistics take delivery of 26 new Mercedes Actros units and 50 new trailers to help support growing business operations across the group following several multi million pound contract wins and recent investment in their network of depots and infrastructure.
The logistics specialist has in the last few months completed a £20million expansion at their Heywood head office; Yearsley Logistics 2nd major super hub in the UK which focuses on retail consolidation and have recently been granted detailed planning permission for a new cold store in Peterborough. The new vehicles will also help facilitate the increase in deliveries to the UK’s major retailers on a day 1 for day 2 basis; allowing Yearsley Logistics to provide an agile supply chain solution and react to the demands for shorter lead times across the industry.
The 50 new 26 pallet trailers also re-affirm Yearsley Logistics commitment to re-investing in their business and their focus on becoming more environmentally friendly through their operations and choice of fleet vehicles.
