Red Baron Flies High in USA with Three New Pizza Varieties

Classic Crust Hawaiian Style and Fire Baked Spicy Pepperoni (with jalapenos), selling for $4.50, and Deep Dish Singles Hawaiian varieties, offered at $3.50, are new under the Red Baron frozen pizza range  from Schwan’s Consumer Brands, Inc. The retail grocer subsidiary of The Schwan Food Company (www.theschwanfoodcompany.com) also distributes pizza under the Freschetta and Tony’s labels.

“Consumers crave the convenience coupled with the creative Red Baron flavors we are bringing to the table,” said Bob Waldron, Schwan’s Consumer Brands president. “With the introduction of these three new varieties, we have added to an already impressive portfolio of products and providing busy families with foods that meet everyone’s tastes.”
The new varieties feature a zesty array of options for everyone in the family. Spicy Pepperoni comes on a Fire Baked Crust (a crispy bottom and chewy middle), chipotle sauce and jalapenos. The Hawaiian Style varieties come topped with the highest quality pineapple and Canadian bacon, is offered in both a Classic Crust style (the right amount of crispy and chewy) and Deep Dish Singles.

Based in Bloomington, Minn., Schwan’s Consumer Brands has marketed and distributed premium frozen foods since 1970. Its brands also include Pagoda Express  snacks and appetizers, Larry’s potatoes, and Mrs. Smith’s and Edwards pies and desserts. The products are available in more than 50,000 retail outlets across the United States.
