New Orleans Cold Storage (NOCS) has promoted two executives to senior positions at its headquarters office in the Crescent City. Jim Henderson is now vice president of sales and marketing, and Jeff Neupert is chief financial officer of the company, which has provided logistics services to the international food industry since 1886.
Henderson, who will be celebrating his fifth year with NOCS in April, has worked in the transportation, logistics and international business sectors for over 15 years with several multi-national companies. In the new position, he will be responsible for sales and marketing of all NOCS warehouses and services.
Neupert, who has been a licensed certified public accountant since 1985, joined NOCS in 2010. He is now responsible for all financial and accounting aspects of the public refrigerated warehousing operator as its chief financial officer.
“Jim and Jeff have been valuable members of the New Orleans Cold Storage team,” said Mark Blanchard, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “I know that they share my commitment to our customers, and with their help we will continue to be one of the largest suppliers of logistics services to the poultry beef, and pork industries around the United States.”
Operating from three key port facilities on the southeastern seaboard and Gulf of Mexico, NOCS has positioned itself as a “one-stop” export process provider, offering everything from transportation to the port, blast freezing and warehousing, certification and documentation, to stevedoring expertise (loading of break bulk vessels). An equally seamless service streamlines inbound shipments destined for US markets.
