Registration is now open for the American Frozen Food Institute’s (AFFI) 2022 Frozen Food Convention (AFFI-CON), slated to take place in Texas from February 19-22 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
“This premier industry event will bring together over 600 companies and more than 1,500 attendees, creating the space and time to meet one-on-one to discuss current and future business needs. As our industry continues to navigate new and emerging supply chain challenges, AFFI-CON will provide the forum necessary to do business,” said Alison Bodor, president and chief executive officer of the Arlington, Virginia-headquartered trade association.
The frozen food category in the United States has been a growth driver for years, and the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has proved to be an accelerator. Can frozen sustain these double-digit gains vs. 2019 and 2020? What is the new food landscape and what’s the growth potential for frozen? How will frozen fruits and vegetables fare?
These topics and more will be spotlighted during on Monday, February 21, when Sally Lyons Wyatt, executive vice president at IRI, delivers the keynote presentation during the state of the frozen food industry address. She will reveal detailed information on retail-based consumer and shopper sales trends, identify outperforming segments and uncover vulnerabilities.
On Sunday, the 20th, ITR Economics CEO & Chief Economist Brian Beaulieu will provide attendees with an economic outlook on factors affecting the supply chain so companies can better plan ahead and manage business risks. He will also advise on practical steps frozen food companies can take to “future-proof” supply chains as they encounter a challenges ranging from high trucking rates and rising inflation to tight warehouse storage space to lack of pallets, and shortages of ingredients and packaging.
