Brigdewater, New Jersey-based Applegate Farms has added two additions to its frozen retail products range: Applegate Naturals Spicy Breaded Chicken Breast Bites and Spicy Breaded Chicken Tenders. Each is made with humanely-raised meat, features 100% natural, non-GMO ingredients, is low in saturated fat and provides a good source of protein.
The products are distributed in resealable packages and now stocked in the freezer cabinets of select supermarkets and grocery stores throughout the United States including the Whole Foods Market chain. Spicy Breaded Chicken Tenders are offered at $6.80 per 16 oz bag, while the Spicy Breaded Chicken Breast Bites are going for $11.49.
Applegate Farms, a unit of Austin, Minnesota-headquartered Hormel Foods, was founded in 1987 by Stephen McDonnell and Chris Ely and is ranked as the No. 1 brand in the natural and organic prepared meats category in North America. The company also produces a line of natural and organic cheese.
