The parade of new plant-based products from Sweet Earth Foods marches on this month with the July 14 launch of several SKUs, headed by the Awesome Bacon Burger. Containing 26 grams of protein per serving and positioned as the first non-meat vegan bacon burger in the US retail market, it features textured pea protein, natural hickory smoke flavor, fruit and vegetable concentrate for color.
Additionally, two of Sweet Earth’s newest sausages are rolling out at grocery stores and supermarkets nationwide:
- Green Chile Chedd’r is a good source of protein (13 grams, 19% DV) that incorporates vegan chedd’r, habanero peppers, yellow peppers and cilantro into the ingredients mix. It’s now available at retailers including Whole Foods Market.
- Chik’n Apple Sausage serves up 15 grams of protein (19% DV) and features apples, green onion and spices. Retailers including HEB now have it in stock, withnational distribution continuing over the next several weeks.
These new releases follow the Moss Landing, California, USA-based Nestlé company’s debut of eight items in June that included Mongolian Beefless with Awesome Grounds, Awesome Pasta Puttanesca, Chik’n Fajita and Awesome Bulgogi.
