Ark Sea Foods Managing Director Md Admin Ullah (seen at left in photo above) is the new president of the Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA). He was recently installed to serve a year-long term of office during the seafood processing organization’s annual meeting in Dhaka.
Also elected to executive posts were: M Khalilullah (pictured at right in above photo), managing director of Satkhira Foods in Khulna, senior vice president; Ashraf Hossain Masud, managing director of Mashud Fish Processing and Ice Complex, vice president for Chattogram; and S Humayun Kabir, chairman and managing director of Amam Sea Food Ind, vice president for Khulna.
Newly named members of the board directors are: Maqsudur Rahman of Mahi Fish Processing; A Jabbar Mollah of Jahanabad Sea Foods; Ashim Kumar Barua of Apex Foods; Md Rezaul Haque of Modern Sea Food Ind.; Khondoker Aynul Islam of Southfield Fisheries; Md Tariqul Islam Zaheer of Achia Sea Foods Ltd; Shyamal Das of MU Sea Foods; Dodul Kumar Datta of Pacific Sea Foods; MA Hassan Panna of Fahim Seafood Processing and Farming; Mohammad Ali of Fish Garden; and Md Arzan Ali of Alpha Accessories and Agro Export.
The BFFEA is the only trade body representing members of the shrimp and finfish processing industry in Bangladesh. Since its inception in 1984 the association has worked to promote and protect the interest of the nation’s frozen food processors, packers and exporters. It also acts as a vital link between the trade bodies and the different government and private agencies, and is engaged in establishing and promoting business with foreign buyers and distributors.
