With Ben & Jerry’s launch of Sundaes at retail stores in the United States, consumers at home no longer have to build the decadent ice cream treat from scratch. Just pop open the lid and enoy!
Priced between $4.99 and $6.49 per pint, the indulgent ice cream line boasts four flavors featuring chunks and swirls, with a whipped topping layer and even more chunks sprinkled on top:
• Cookie Vermont-ster Sundae. Inspired by the classic Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop Sundae, the ingredients are vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookies covered with vanilla whipped topping, fudge swirls and fudge chips.
• Dulce-Delish Sundae. Perhaps the most indulgent Sundae flavor, there’s salted caramel ice cream with pecan toffee pieces and caramel swirls, topped with caramel whipped topping with caramel swirls and satisfying sea salt fudge chunks.
• Choco-lotta Cheesecake Sundae. This sweet treat features chocolate cheesecake ice cream, chocolate cookies and chocolate cookie swirls, topped off with a vanilla whipped topping, fudge swirls and sea salt fudge chunks.
• Turtle Sundae. This Sundae starts with a buttery ice cream base chock-full of fudge-covered almonds and pretzel swirls, complete with vanilla whipped topping, caramel swirls and fudge-covered pretzel pieces.
“I like to think of each Sundae as a textural treasure hunt, starting with that thick and creamy ice cream that you already know and love, nestled below a layer of rich whipped topping and covered in the perfect balance of the most decadent swirls and chunks you have ever met,” said Natalia Butler, technical project leader and flavor guru at South Burlington, Vermont-headquartered Ben & Jerry’s. “Our team built the perfect Sundae for our fans can enjoy at home, and… it delivers. My personal favorite is Turtle Sundae.”
The new range was inspired by the success of the Unilever subsidiary company’s Sundae line across in Europe.
