Brooklyn, New York-based Big Mozz has announced the launch of Big Mozz Nuggets. The finger food specialty, made with 100% whole milk Mozzarella cheese, breaded and seasoned with garlic, parsley and Pecorino Romano cheese, is available in the freezer aisles of select retail stores including Foodtown, The Giant Company, Stew Leonard’s and DeCicco’s, as well online.
“For over a decade, millions of people have been served authentically crafted Big Mozz Sticks at events and music festivals, and then we ventured into retail a little over a year ago with great success. There hadn’t been enough innovation in the mozzarella stick category, so we are thrilled to debut Big Mozz Nuggets, a poppable version of our beloved sticks at retail stores and to offer consumers a way to enjoy them in a fun, new format at allows preparation at home in minutes,” said Matt Gallira, the company’s founder.
Promoted as “Mini but Mighty,” the new product is shipped to online purchasers in 381-gram boxes containing seven Big Mozz Sticks. Air fryer preparation (400°F for 5-7 minutes) or oven heating (425°F for 10-12 minutes, rotating halfway through.) is recommended.
