Summer doesn’t officially arrive for another three weeks, but the heat is already about to be turned up at White Castle. The Columbus, Ohio, USA-headquartered fast food operator is adding Nashville-style spicy chicken to its menu on June 2. Two items, a Hot Chicken Slider and Bacon & Smoked Cheddar Chicken Slider, will available only through July 31.
“We are chicken and proud of it,” said Vice President Jamie Richardson. “If you’re looking for bold and unique flavors, stop by a White Castle to try our new summer menu items.”
Customers may choose either crispy fried or savory grilled chicken that’s coated in fiery hot sauce and topped with two crunchy fried pickles. Those looking for smoky flavor to savor may opt for the Bacon & Smoked Cheddar Chicken Slider topped with smoky cheddar cheese and hickory-smoked bacon.
These new chicken sliders join White Castle’s signature Crispy Chicken Breast Slider and Savory Grilled Chicken Slider. For folks with a craving but not near a White Castle restaurant, the Chicken Breast Slider and Original Slider are both available in the frozen food aisles of supermarkets and grocery stores nationwide. All chicken sliders are made with tender chicken breast fillets served on White Castle’s signature buns.
The QSR chain’s new Fried Pickles, promoted as “dill-icious,” are crunchy pickle slices coated in a blend of seasoned panko breading and fried to a golden crisp. They are sold in small and sack sizes.
