Carvel Ice Cream and Lotus Biscoff have collaborated to introduce the Atlanta, Georgia-headquartered American ice cream franchise’s first-ever Cookie Butter Crunchies, and to reintroduce the popular Cookie Butter Ice Cream treat lineup after three years of absence from menus. Made with crushed Lotus Biscoff cookies, the offerings are now available for a limited time at participating Carvel stores. The are also being dispatched straight to homes and office addresses via a number of food delivery services.

Cookie Butter Crunchies feature a crispy vanilla crunch blended with Lotus Biscoff cookie crumbles coated in a sweet vanilla bonnet shell. The product is a new take on classic Chocolate Crunchies, an integral part of Carvel’s history best known for being layered within ice cream cakes.

“During the holidays, people seek comforting treats that remind them how magical the season is,” said Delia Wong, the company’s director of marketing. “Our Cookie Butter Ice Cream and new Cookie Butter Crunchies will transport customers to a cookie wonderland as they take breaks, enjoy a cozy night in or share a treat with guests during holiday get-togethers.”

The treats are now available in multiple formats, including: soft ice cream, which is a scooped ice cream blended with sweet Lotus Biscoff cookie butter; scooped ice cream with crunchy chunks of Lotus Biscoff cookies and classic caramel sauce; the Cookie Butter Sundae Dasher offering of soft serve Ice Cream layered with crunchy chunks of Lotus Biscoff cookies and classic caramel drizzles, topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle finish; plus Cookie Butter Shakes and Flying Saucers (chocolate cookies filled with ice cream and rolled in crunchies.

About Lotus Biscoff

Lotus Bakeries began in the East Flanders, Belgium village of Lembeke in 1932 and is now active worldwide in the indulgent and natural snacking segment with the Lotus, Lotus Biscoff, Dinosaurus, Peijnenburg, Annas, nākd, Trek, Bear, and Kiddylicious brands, among others. The “secret” of Lotus Biscoff success is attributed to the flavor, distinctive design and delightful crispiness of its cookies. In addition to ice cream, the unique caramelized cookie flavor has also been incorporated into spreads, chocolate, cake specialties and waffles.
