Crewe, Cheshire, England-based Wrights Food Group has been purchased by the Compleat Food Group for an undisclosed price. The acquired company is a producer of frozen and chilled meat and potato pies, bread, sandwiches, ready meals and dessert products. Its portfolio also includes a chain of 15 baked goods stores and the Urban Bistro vending machine
Founded in 1926, Wright employs approximately 600 people and reportedly rang up sales of £54 million sales to retail and foodservice sector customers, including professional football clubs, last year.
through its sales of pies to one in three Football League clubs, 30m cookies, as well as ready meals and sandwiches.

The business, which was founded in 1931, supplies a retail range of private label and branded products including sausage rolls, hot pies, slices and pasties, pork pies, scotch eggs and quiches.
