Lymington, Hampshire, England-based New Forest Ice Cream has launched its first ever vegan products. Two flavors are featured: Vanilla Pod, made with real Madagascan vanilla pod seeds; and Salted Caramel, which serves up a smooth, rich caramel taste with a hint of salt to deliver a balanced sweet and salty flavor sensation.

As vegan diets are continuing to gain in popularity, the need for operators to include quality alternatives to traditional ice cream on their menus has never been greater.

The latest additions in the range are gluten-free and produced in New Forest Ice Cream’s nut-free production facility. Every churned out is tested to meet the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.

“It’s no secret that more and more customers are exploring plant-based foods, so we are delighted to introduce our vegan range into the foodservice market,” said Christina Veal, a company director. “We have been working hard behind the scenes to create a vegan ice cream. By choosing classic flavors, we know how popular they already are and are confident that our dairy-free versions will be the perfect refreshment when served alone or when added as the finishing touch dessert to any meal.”

The new products, available in 2.4-liter catering tubs, join New Forest Ice Cream’s collection of over 50 flavors, including the real dairy and continental ranges. Alongside this, a large assortment of sorbets and a variety of wrapped ice cream and ice lollies complete the portfolio.
