The just launched Petits Fours ‘Délicatesse’ assortment from Brioche Pasquier features eight bite-sized sweet treats presented as “prettiness on a plate” by the Les Cerqueux, France-headquartered frozen pâtisserie maker.

“Our new range is designed to taste as good as it looks,” said Jon Turonnet, the company’s foodservice sales manager in the United Kingdom. “We’ve created it with what the French call ‘savoir-faire’, which literally translated means knowing what to do in any situation. And these petits fours do indeed have the style and finesse to grace any event. The lovely little morsels look fantastic displayed on sharing platters at the table, or waiter-delivered at a standing event. They would make a great addition to afternoon tea too, or can be served as a café gourmande.”

Petits Fours ‘Délicatesse’ consists of different flavor combinations that deliver contrasting textures, shapes and colors. There’s a Tartelette Citron made with pure butter pastry, and an almond cream and a Triangle Pistache which features almonds alongside pistachios, and a chocolate flake topping.

Then there are three rich and chocolaty offerings, each with its own individual complex combination of chocolate, biscuit, coconut or orange. Moelleux Noisette Cassis combines hazelnuts and blackcurrants, and there’s a passion fruit, mango and coconut amalgam known as Financier Passion Cocoa. Finally there is Croquant Praline Abricot – a crunchy praline with apricots and pistachios.

Like all Brioche Pasquier pâtisserie, the petit fours are made with non-caged eggs, fresh butter and natural coloring and flavoring. They are vegetarian and free from palm oil and preservatives.

Distributed in boxes containing 48 pieces, once defrosted the pastries have the shine and appearance of freshly made petits fours. They can be served simply just as they are, or with an optional sprinkle of icing sugar, edible flowers or a few berries as garnish on the tray.
