“Trust the Gordon’s Fisherman” has been its theme for generations, so perhaps there should be no surprise that on April 18 the Gloucester, Massachusetts, USA-based Gorton’s Seafood was named the most trusted frozen fish brand for the second year in a row by consumers surveyed by BrandSpark International.
Walmart’s Great Value store brand won in the Private Label category, and the Stone Fire brand came out on top among Artisan Flatbread contenders. All told, 118 winners were designated in six categories that spanned the consumer products universe from Food, Home goods and Household items to Health & Beauty aids, Baby & Kids products and Services.
The Brandspark Most Trusted Awards (BMTA) competition was voted on by more than 12,800 shoppers “regularly faced with purchase decisions” who participated in a survey conducted across the USA by the Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based consumer insight and market research company.
“In order to establish trust, the top brands repeatedly meet consumer expectations with great product and service experiences,” said Robert Levy, president and chief executive officer of BrandSpark International. “The best of these brands are able to build on that foundation of trust and create meaningful innovation while maintaining strong value and consistent quality. Reinforcing consumer trust is especially critical today, when consumers have more choices available than ever before.”
Established in 1849, Gorton’s today offers a wide range of frozen retail products including fish sticks, beer battered fish tenders, flounder fillets, popcorn shrimp, crusted salmon and baked cod.
