Crosta & Mollica is adding two new SKUs to its oven-ready meal range in the United Kingdom with the launch of Lasagne Porcini Mushroom & Prosciutto Ham and Gnocchi Tomato, Basil & Buffalo Mozzarella. Both frozen products, distributed in recyclable packaging, are available exclusively online through Ocado.
Crosta & Mollica specializes in offering restaurant-quality products that can be enjoyed at home, using natural ingredients and traditional recipes. The brand first entered the UK prepared meal sector in 2022 with the launch of its Al Forno line.
Originating from Le Marche, an eastern Italian region between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea that is well known for truffles and cured meats, Crosta & Mollica’s Lasagne Porcini Mushroom & Prosciutto Ham features five layers of egg pasta sheets with besciamella, combined with Italian porcini mushrooms, shredded prosciutto ham and finished with grana Padano cheese. Selling for £6, the 400-gram product is ready to serve after oven baking for 40-45 minutes.
Gnocchi Tomato, Basil & Buffalo Mozzarella offering is traditionally finished with deep fork grooves to capture the sauce, made with datterini tomatoes, basil and cow’s milk mozzarella, and topped with buffalo mozzarella. The single-serve dish retails for £5.
