The Zaxbys chicken chain is venturing back to the “ZaxSeas” with the return of Southern Fried Shrimp for a limited time period through the end of April. Last year the Atlanta, Georgia-headquartered QSR operator, which has over 950 units in 17 states, put its signature spin on seafood with the crispy, flavorful breading customers know from the brand’s fried Chicken Fingerz made with buttermilk, garlic, onion powder, and seasoned with pepper.
The Southern Fried Shrimp are dipped in zesty Zaxtail Sauce, dunked in spicy Buffalo Garlic Blaze, drizzled with dressing on an Asian Zensation Zalad, or paired with Fingerz in the new ZaxSeas Surf & Turf Meal.
Here are the deals:
• Southern Fried Shrimp Meal. Eight crispy butterflied shrimp served with Zaxtail Sauce — a blend of Zax Sauce and cocktail sauce with notes of horseradish — plus Texas Toast, Crinkle Fries, and a small drink for $10.29.
• SaxSeas Surf & Turn Meal. This offering combines eight Southern Fried Shrimp with Zaxtail Sauce and three Chicken Fingerz with Zax Sauce, served with Texas Toast, Crinkle Fries and a small drink for $12.99.
• Buffalo Shrimp. Eight Southern Fried Shrimp tossed in Buffalo Garlic Blaze and served with Ranch dressing, for $6.19.
• Asian Sensation Zalad with Southern Fried Shrimp. Served on a bed of freshly chopped mixed greens, red cabbage, carrots, Asian Slaw and crispy wonton strips, drizzled with honey sesame Teriyaki Sauce and paired with Citrus Vinaigrette. Served with a Veggie Egg Roll, for an average price of $11.59.
