Dole Packaged Foods has announced the introduction of a Keto-certified frozen fruit blend, marketed as the Dole Keto Berry Blend, and a line of three new Dole Boosted Blends. Each offering is positioned to help consumers achieve personal nutrition goals and can be used to conveniently make smoothies.
The Dole Keto Berry Blend is specially formulated to comply with Keto certification criteria, allowing only eight grams of net carbohydrates per serving, using low sugar and high fiber fruits, and healthy fats. Each package includes raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, avocado and a touch of stevia – picked at peak ripeness, then carefully washed and flash frozen to lock in maximum flavor and nutrition. The needs of serious Keto followers as well as the Keto-curious are met by offering a convenient way to add fruit to a ketogenic diet. With zero added sugars, and a good source of dietary fiber and vitamin C, the Dole Keto Berry Blend is also certified kosher, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
“Maintaining a keto diet can be challenging given the need to consume healthy fats while limiting carbs, and still craving a variety of refreshing and satisfying foods,” said Fatma Kokon, director of frozen marketing at Westlake Village, California-headquartered Dole Packaged Foods. “Dole Keto Berry Blend makes it easy to add fruit to a Keto diet, and enjoy ripe berry flavors in a rich, creamy and convenient smoothie any time.”
Quick and easy to prepare, one just adds six ounces of water to four ounces of Dole Keto Berry Blend to create a smoothie. Each 12-ounce resealable package yields three 10-ounce servings, and sells for between $3.99 and $4.49 at most retail stores.
Boosted Blends Line
The new Dole Boosted Blends line features a combination of fruit and boosted cubes in a smoothie kit packed with nutrition. Consumers can choose between Dole Boosted Blends Protein with whey and almond butter for 10 grams of protein, Dole Boosted Blends Energize with matcha green tea, or Dole Boosted Blends Vita-C with 220% of one’s daily value of vitamin C per serving. All offerings are free of added sugars.
“Our Dole Boosted Blends take the fruit combinations you love in a smoothie and add a boost of energy, protein, or Vitamin C, in just one quick and convenient step,” said Kokon. “It’s an easy way to start the morning, and make your smoothies work just a little harder for you.”
Each 32-ounce resealable package yields four servings, and is priced at $9.99 to $10.99. The offerings, as detailed below, are now available in the frozen fruit sections of retail stores across the USA:
