Further recognition of Lamb Weston’s Dukes of Chippingdom British chips has been noted in its shortlisting for the Plant-Based Product of the Year Category in The Caterer Supplier Awards 2021.
Cut from 100% British potatoes and available with skin-off and skin-on, the frozen fries are endorsed by the Craft Guild of Chefs with an above average rating, and are gluten-free with Red Tractor accreditation.
The shortlist recognizes excellence and innovation in food, drink, and equipment products within the hospitality sector.
Judging, which took place at Westminster Kingsway College and at the Caterer’s offices in London, saw products rigorously tested and tasted by industry chefs and consultants, alongside three senior lecturers at the school.
Andrea Deutschmanek, Lamb Weston’s international marketing lead for Northern Europe, commented: “This is another great boost for the team who have been working hard throughout the last year with a focus on our customers. All that hard work has paid off as achievement to a place in the finals is indeed high praise alone. We think we’ve succeeded in the creation of an exciting, versatile, top quality product that is designed to ensure increased success for our customers and once again the brand is being recognized for that success.”
The winners of the Supplier Awards will be announced at a Facebook Live ceremony in December where Lamb Weston will be hoping to add to its trophy cabinet.
