Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp has partnered with Epic Kitchens to establish the brand’s first virtual kitchen in downtown Chicago, which will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and late-night bites.
In business in America’s “Second City” since 1950, when founder Lawrence Schweig opened a tiny storefront at the exact location where the Canal Street restaurant sits today, the family-owned seafood takeout and food truck operation has outlets in Hillside and Lombard as well as in Chicago.
“We are excited to partner with Epic Kitchens, which took the time to learn about our food and how to properly prepare it,” said CEO Dan Griffin. “It’s like an extension of our own kitchen, enabling us to reach more customers without compromising quality.”
Among signature dishes and appetizers on the menu are Coconut Shrimp, Shrimp Po’Boy Sandwiches, Catfish Strips, Fish Chips, Ocean Perch, Crab Cakes, Cod Nuggets and Calamari Rings.
Epic Kitchens operates multi-branded ghost kitchens with a focus on quickly delivering convenient food to customers one meal at a time. It offers an online platform allowing consumers to place orders directly.
