Farm Rich, one the USA’s best selling frozen snacks and appetizers brands, has added Breaded Cheddar Cheese Curds to its lineup. The new product is priced between $4.99-6.99 for a 16-ounce (453-gram) carton, depending on the retail store.
Cheddar Cheese Curds are made with 100 percent, authentic Wisconsin cheese curds sourced from the LaGrander’s Hillside Dairy. Breaded to a light, crispy golden perfection, the product has a mild, salty taste and official “Wisconsin Cheese” seal of approval issued by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.
The Cheddar “gold” for the cheese curds comes from LaGrander’s Cheese, made on a family-owned and operated dairy located in the farmlands of west-central Wisconsin, near Stanley. Hillside Dairy began as a small farmer’s co-op in the early 1900s. Under the guidance of Master Cheesemaker Randy LaGrander, it produces what is regarded as some of the finest cheese in the country, including award-winning Colby, Colby-Jack, Pepper Jack, Monterey-Jack and Cheddar cheese, as well as cheese curds.
At the moment Farm Rich Cheddar Cheese Curds are available in supermarkets primarily in the Midwest and Southeast, with plans for a nationwide rollout later this autumn and next year. The product can be prepared in a conventional oven, toaster oven or deep fryer in less than 10 minutes.
“Wisconsin Cheese Curds have had a following of passionate fans for generations, and the love for them has been spreading far beyond America’s Dairyland,” said Shannon Gilreath, director of marketing at Farm Rich. “We’ve seen rapid growth in the number of restaurants adding cheese curds to their menus. Since we are widely known for our restaurant quality appetizers, we wanted to capitalize on the Cheese Curds popularity by introducing them at retail and giving consumers the best-tasting, best-quality authentic cheese curds available in the freezer section of grocery stores.”
