Findus, a market-leading frozen food brand in Europe, is introducing a new range of frozen fish products in Canada’s Ontario market. The assortment consists of Steam Delicious and English Style options.
Findus Steam Delicious Cod portions offer consumers an easy way to add more fish to their weekly diet regimen. Cod loin two-packs come individually sealed in a steam pouch. The fish steam-cooks in a microwave oven in just four minutes, resulting in moist, white, flakey portions. There are two flavors to choose from, Chive and Herb Butter or Lemon Parsley Butter, providing a light sauce that can be poured over rice or quinoa.
Findus English Style Battered Fish is produced in the United Kingdom using an original recipe that has been enjoyed in Britain for decades. Available in four-pack Haddock or Cod, and six-pack Pollock units, they are easy to prepare in convection ovens in about 20 minutes.
All Findus frozen fish products are made with sustainably sourced fish and show their certification by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seal on the packaging.
“Many Canadians are looking to incorporate more healthy, delicious fish into their diets, but busy lifestyles can get in the way of meal planning,” said Katarina Wallentin, marketing manager at Findus. “Our products allow anyone, from the experienced chef to the non-cook, to prepare and enjoy restaurant-quality fish at home.”
Findus frozen fish products are now available at Metro and Sobeys stores in Ontario with a suggested retail price of $9.99 for Steam Delicious and $10.99 for English Style.
